elf Cover Everything Concealer Review

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to review the elf Cover Everything Concealer in the color "Corrective Yellow." I bought this concealer a few months ago now in my elf Haul I did back in April.

It's taken me a while to get around to this review because, well for one I didn't want to just overwhelm my blog with only elf reviews, and I was really unsure about this product.

I wanted to like this concealer... I really did. I got this to try out under my eyes, and from the reviews I read on the elf site, so many people seemed to love this product - I don't get it.

The color is indeed yellow, which is good to balance out dark under eye circles, and it swatches really creamy - also a plus, but that's about it as far as pluses.

When I put this on my face, both under my eye and  on other parts of my face, it creases, streaks, and feels kind of drying. I have used this both under and on top of my foundation, and I just cannot get it to work for me.

I normally really love elf products, but I think they just really missed the mark on this formula.

Final Thoughts:
Even though this concealer is only $2, I would personally save my money if I were you. I really don't think there is anything useful about this concealer, and frankly it is just a disappointment.

Have any of you tried this concealer? Thoughts? Let me know!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Makeup Eraser

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you one of the most exciting and useful makeup/skincare purchases I have ever made - the Makeup Eraser.

This cloth is so absolutely amazing, it removes makeup with just water. That's right no chemicals, just water.

The makeup eraser can be ordered from www.makeuperaser.com - and it comes in this adorable box that looks like a giant pink eraser.

It also comes with this handy little instruction card. Just like it says, all you need to do is wet the cloth with warm water and rub it on your face... and your makeup just wipes right off.

Also, just like this card says, it is totally machine washable. I have washed it about 3 times now, with my regular towels, and it is just fine. It is also stain proof... every bit of makeup comes out of the cloth, unlike normal wash cloths.

As you can see, the Makeup Eraser has a different nap on each side of the cloth. The first side is a short nap, and the backside is long. Supposedly the long side is supposed to be used after removing the makeup on the first side to exfoliate.

I generally have been removing my eye makeup with the short nap and my face makeup with the long nap. Using it this way, since the cloth is so long, I generally have enough space to remove my makeup about six times before I have to to wash it.

The first time I used the Makeup Eraser, I had on a very full face of makeup - which for me is pretty normal.

I had on: Foundation primer, full coverage foundation, concealer, powder, bronzed, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow primer, dark eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, about 5 coats of mascara, and eyebrow gel.

After some warm water and some rubbing, all my makeup came off. I didn't even have to rub or press too hard on my skin - the less roughing up your skin, especially your face skin, the better.

And as you can see, my face looks all nice and fresh and makeup free. What excited  me the most about this, is that after I used it, my face was not all red and puffy. I have rocesea, and when I mess with my skin too much, especially after using makeup removers or cleansers, I am usually very bright red... like a firetruck... not pretty.

Not only was all my makeup gone, my skin felt so very soft and clean. It actually felt very clean, with just water.

First off - sorry this pic is blurry.

Every night after removing my makeup, I use Witch Hazel on a cotton round as a toner all over my face and neck. After using the Makeup Eraser, very little extra product came off on the cotton round, which is unusual. Most makeup removers I have tried, while they looked like they took everything off, left more of a residue behind.

Pricing: $19.99

Bottom Line: This product is absolutely amazing. I'm still in disbelief that I can remove all of my makeup gently with just warm water. I more than highly recommend this product. I am planning on ordering another one myself very soon.

If you wear makeup often, this will save you so much money in the long run  on buying makeup removing products, not to mention, it is so much better for your skin!

Has anyone else used this product? What do you think? Let me know below!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!!

OOTD Polka Dots & Infinity Scarf

Hi everyone!

Just a quick little outfit of the day from my Walmart clothing haul I did a couple of months ago.

This scarf and shirt came together as a set, and honestly, I wouldn't have paired them together myself, but I love the combination of patterns.

I'm just wearing this with grey dress pants and black heels - wore this to work at my office.

This shirt can also be worn with jeans for a more casual look. That's one of the things I loved about this shirt, it can be easily dressed up or down.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Perfume Storage

Hi everyone!

Today I just wanted to make a quick little post to show you how I store/display my perfume collection. Nothing fancy or special, but it might give you an idea if you're wondering how to store yours.

Personally I like to display my perfume bottles, because I think most of them are attractive, and I like to look at them.

These are the perfumes and body sprays I use most often, so I just leave them sitting on top of my jewelery box for easy access.

And here are some other perfumes that I either don't use as much, or are empty, and I just wanted to keep the bottle. These are on a small shelf I have hanging above my makeup storage cart next to my vanity. Still easy access when I want them, but out of the way.

That's about it... like I said, nothing fancy, but it might give you an idea.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Hoof Foot File Kit

Hi everyone!

I picked up this Hoof Foot File Kit a while back at Walmart when I was shopping to replace my PedEgg... this was cheaper and had more attachments... so obviously I'm going to go for the better deal.

This kit came with one handle and 3 different attachments: callous shaver, file, and buffer.

The callous shaver is the attachment that is currently on the handle in the picture. It's basically like a razor blade in a special contraption so you don't slice yourself with it. You just hold the blade against really bad callouses like on the big toe, or the ball of the foot, and just scrape/shave the thick, calloused skin down. Bonus: they included a box of replacement blades and a little rubber disc to help replace the blades.

The file is the attachment on the right that looks kind of like a grater. It's basically the same thing as a PedEgg - it shaves down dead and calloused skin.

The buffer is the attachment on the left, and it basically works like a pumice stone to smooth all your foot skin you just filed and shaved down nice and smooth.

Pricing: This kit was around $7 or $8 if I remember correctly.

Bottom Line: I LOVE this kit! So much better than a PedEgg because it comes it more attachments, and it's cheaper. I have really bad callouses from wearing high heels to work everyday, and this really helps me keep them under control. Let's be real - we all get janky feet if we don't take care of them, so pick one of these bad boys up!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!

Freeman Cucumber Peel Off Mask

Hi everyone!

Yet another Freeman Beauty product post... I know... so many... I just have so many of their dang products. What can I say, I'm a girl on a tight budget that likes amazing products.

I've been using this Cucumber Peel-Off Mask for a couple of years now, so obviously it's a product I like. I don't have a picture of what it looks like on my face, because honestly you can't really see it too well, because it's clear.

This mask kind of comes out like clear glue - it's really sticky and gloopy, and is honestly somewhat of a pain to slather on... but it works well. After applying it (in a thin layer), I let it sit for probably 10-15 minute, or until it is dry to the touch. A little warning, DO NOT APPLY UNDER THE EYE. The under eye area is sooooo delicate and this product will pull that skin and could possibly tear it...ouch! I generally only apply to my T-Zone (nose, chin, and forehead).

When this mask dries, as the names implies, you peel it off. It helps to pull off dead skin and impurities - kind of like a Biore strip for your face.

Pricing: As with all Freeman Beauty masks, this one comes in a 6oz tube for $3.99

Bottom Line: This is a product I've been using for years and one that I am fond of, especially at such a great price point.

Note: This is a more intense mask, so I only use it once or twice a month, if even that. Mainly when my skin looks like it needs an extra lil something.

Anyone else use this? Opinions?

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

OOTD Summer Tank

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to share a little outfit of the day with you. I just realized that when I did a little clothing haul from Walmart back in May, I promised to some OOTDs to show how the clothes looked on... and I only did one.... because I kind of forgot... oops!

This outfit is just super simply and casual for the super hot summer we are having.... well here anyway. The striped, colorful tank top is the piece that I bought recently. It's super sheer and loose, so I paired it with a bright green cami tank underneath. Other than that I'm just wearing denim capris and flip flops that you can't see!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

elf VIP Lash Kit

Hi everyone!

Continuing some reviews off my elf haul from a while back... today we have the elf VIP Lash Kit.

As you can see, this little kit from elf comes comes with quite a few pieces, which is what promted me to try it.

Clear glue...

Lashes...

A lash holder/shaper...

And a lash applying clamp... thing...

Pricing: This whole kit was $3 under the elf Studio Line

Thoughts: I don't think I like anything at all about this kit. At all. I don't wear false lashes hardly ever, but when I do, I want them not not look like cartoon lashes... unless you know I'm doing a costume... but even then, I wouldn't use these. They are very shiny and very plastic looking and just feel awful... and are unnaturally shaped.

Glue: I tried the glue on different lashes, and it just didn't stick them down.

Lash holder: The point of this little gadget is....?

Lash clamp: I thought this thing would make applying lashes so super easy.... no, not it did not. Actually it made it so much harder. I couldn't see what I was doing, and the shape was so odd and unnatural.

Bottom Line: I would not recommend anyone to buy this for any reason what so ever....I normally love elf, but this was just a big let down.

Anyone else try this? Opinions? Let me know below!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Freeman Mint and Lemon Mask

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite face masks - the Freeman Beauty Mint and Lemon Clay Mask.

As you can probably tell.... this tube of face mask has been well used. This is the first Freeman Beauty mask I ever purchased, and it is the product that really got me into Freeman in the first place. I have been doing a lot reviews on Freeman products I got in a haul a while back, so I thought I should show some love to this old friend.

This is just a green clay mask, similar to the Acai mask I reviewed a while back - they both are deep pore cleansing, but unlike the acai mask, this one has salicylic acid in it, which helps with oily and acne prone skin.

As with all Freeman Beauty masks, this tube contains 6oz of product and costs only $3.99.... just can't beat that price... especially when this stuff is amazing! I used to have really oily skin and a ton of acne, and I have to say using this mask about once a week in my skin care routine helped keep most of that under control.

Any of you ever tried this? Thoughts? Let me know!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!

Nail Polish Storage and Organization

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to share how I store and organize my nail polish collection.

I don't have a storage system that is necessarily the fanciest or classiest for my nail polish, but it is affordable and much nicer than just throwing them in a drawer or box or something of that sort... yeah I'm guilty of that in the past.

So basically what I have going on here (on the right) is an office/desk organizer I got at Walmart for either $3 or $4. Last time I counted, I had about 104 polishes in this thing... so yeah it holds a lot. Not to mention, it's portable. I currently have this sitting on top of my dresser in my bedroom, but I usually paint my nails in my living room - so when the urge strikes, I just pick this whole thing up and carry it with me.

On the left, I just have a little storage basket from the dollar store the I have some nail tools and little extras in, and then I just sit my polish remover and acrylic nail kit on my dresser behind this set up.

This particular office organizer has 7 separate sections, so I have taken advantage of that and split up my polishes so I can find what I want easier. In this first long section, I have put mainly polishes that are part of sets I have, the bottles just fit together nicer.

Can we just talk about that for a second... what it up with the million different nail polish bottle shapes and sizes... I mean come on, it makes it so hard to line everything up nicely in any storage system because its just ridiculous. Rant over.

P.S. Sorry for the dust on my polish... dust happens... I'm a busy lady... life's too short.

Now onto the next sections of my organizer...

Upper left: This is a larger section, so I have most of my random, single polishes in that don't fit into any of the other little categories I have.... and yeah... they're in rainbow order.... OCD like that.

Upper right: I have all of my stripers and one crackle polish... it didn't have another home.

Middle left: All my glitter polishes... and honestly, I don't know why I have so many... they're a pain in the rear to take off, and I can't say I even love them that much.

Middle right: Base coats and top coats

Bottom left: These were a couple of new polishes from my Walmart haul post a few days ago, just stuck them in a little spot.... I'm addicted to polish and quickly running out of room....

Bottom right: My mini polish bottles. That is all.

Here's my little basket of tools and miscellaneous stuff. On top I have clippers, a file, buffer block, nail glitter, and nail rocks - underneath that I have some nail art pens.

And that's basically it. One day (hopefully soonish), I'll get around to doing a nail polish collection post.

Hope this storage idea helps!

If you have any storage ideas, share them down below!

And I hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

elf Lustrous Eyeshadow

Hi everyone!

So... I'm still getting around to doing reviews on products from my fairly large elf haul I posted a couple of months ago (that you can view here). Today I'm going to go over the elf Lustrous Eyeshadow.

This products are newer to the elf line, so I picked up the colors "Soiree" and "Celebration" to try out.

These shadows are pretty much an ultra shining cream shadow, and as you can see from the swatches they provide that very "wet" look. They can be worn alone, or over patted over another eyeshadow (powder or cream) to give your eye look that little extra pizazz.

Pricing: These shadows are part of the elf Studio Line, so they are $3 per pot.

Availability: I ordered my shadows off of the elf website, but I have seen some Targets and Walmarts in my area carry a limited amount of shades.

Bottom Line: These shadows aren't a product that I use on a daily basis since they are so shiny and glittery, but they are definitely something I love for doing a night out eye look. At $3 a piece, I recommend picking at least one up and trying it out.

Have any of you tried these out? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!

Freeman Beauty Deep Conditioner

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to share a little review on the Freeman Beauty Papaya and Mango Moisture 3 Minute Conditioner.

I love this conditioner! A little while back I posted a review on another shampoo and conditioner set I bought from Freeman that I didn't like so much (that you can view here), but this one is so much different.

The texture of this conditioner is really thick and creamy, and as the front of the bottle implies, it really does add moisture back into your hair. I leave it one much longer than 3 minutes; I leave all my conditioner in much longer than 3 minutes. I was my hair first thing when I get in the shower, so when I put my conditioner in, it can sit the rest of the time I'm in the shower and really soak in.

This bottle contains 6ozs of product and only costs $2.99... how can you beat that? Especially for a deep conditioner. My only little issue is that I haven't seen this product in any store I've been in, so I had to order it online from Freeman's website.

Bottom Line: This is an amazing product at an amazing price, and I definitely recommend it.

Have any of you tried this product? What is your favorite deep conditioner? Let me know down below!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!

Small Walmart Haul & Update

Hey everyone!

I know I haven't posted anything in about 3 weeks, I've been super busy - full time school, day job, academic research job on the side.... so I've just been a little burnt out, but I'm definitely glad to have a little free time to get back to sharing some stuff with all of you!

Today I'm going to be sharing a small little "haul" that I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago.

First off I picked up some more packs of elf Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths. I did a post on these a while back - I've been using them for years and love them, so I always pick up several at a time.
($3 each)

Then I have the elf Essentials Liquid Eyeliner - another product I love. This is my daily go to eyeliner, and I was just picking up an extra for when my current one runs out. ($1)

Next up a pack of hair ties and bobby pins... essentials for any girl! ($2-3)

Last in this pic, a bottle of Witch Hazel. I looooooooove this stuff soooo much. I don't think I can even begin to say how much it has helped clear up my skin. I won't get into a whole rant now, I'll save that for another post - but I will say I just use this stuff as an astringent and it's a miracle worker.
(~$1)

Next up I have 2 polishes by "Flower." This company is new to me, it was created by Drew Barymore (love her!), and includes nail polish and makeup. ($5 each)

Then I picked a couple of new brushes by elf. I love elf brushes, and I hadn't seen these 2 before, so... I just had to have them... so guilty. ($3 each)

Then I picked up this new foot filing tool. I have a PedEgg, but my BF has been using it lately... and his feet are... well a lil funky... so I just decided to buy a new one. I saw this little kit at the store, and it was cheaper than the PedEgg and came with more stuff, so I decided I would give it a try. (~$8)

Finally, I picked up some foot cream by Freeman Beauty. As you all know from previous posts, I just love Freeman Beauty, so you know... again, I couldn't resist.... ($3)

As usual, I'll have more detailed reviews/impression on most of these products individually in the future.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!!!
