Freeman Beauty Papaya & Lime Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about a couple of the products I bought from Freeman Beauty a while back - the Papaya and Lime shampoo and conditioner.

Sorry about the funky picture - I had originally taken it with another product, but didn't want to include that in this review... so I tried to crop most of it out.... yeah... moving on!

I'm always in the market to try new shampoo and conditioners, so when I was placing my order on Freeman, I wanted to try these, especially because they were only $2.99 a piece (for a 13.5 oz bottle).

I've loved everything else I've ordered from Freeman... except these. Both the shampoo and conditioner are really thin and kind of runny in texture. The shampoo didn't lather much, though it cleaned my hair really well, and the conditioner did soften it... but not enough for my liking. My hair is super thick, so I need a shampoo that really lathers and a super thick conditioner to penetrate all of it.

Personally, I will not be repurchasing either of these products, and I will probably only use them in a pinch... or pawn them off on my boyfriend. So even through they're really affordable, and everything else by Freeman has been amazing... these are not :/

Anyone else tries these and have better luck? Let me know!

I hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

elf Kabuki Brush

Hi everyone!

I'm going to do another elf review from my haul from a while back on the elf kabuki brush.

This brush pretty much instantly became my absolute favorite powder brush after the first couple of uses.

This brush is sooooo amazingly soft. I use it to apply my powder (by tapping) and I have to say it applies the powder very lightly and evenly (just like I want it), without disturbing my foundation underneath and making anything look cake-y.

I have looked at other kabuki brushes, had other kabuki brushes (until my cat used it for a chew toy), and this is one of the most affordable ones at $6.  Like, why are kabuki brushes so expensive? I know they have a lot more bristles than the average brush, but in all seriousness... most are just priced outrageously.

If you want something that applies powder super evenly and without much effort, I highly recommend trying this brush. It's very affordable, and I don't think you can go wrong.

Thoughts? Comments? Let me know!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!! :)

elf Defining Eyeshadow Brush

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I have done any elf product reviews from my large elf haul I got a while back. Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite eyeshadow brushes - the elf defining eyeshadow brush.

This brush is really awesome for doing the "outer v" part of the eyelid, especially when you want to get that smokey look, because....

as you can see, the brush has a really tapered shape to it, and it's fairly thin.

This brush is part of elf's essential line, so it's only $1! I have another one of these brushes, probably for about 4 years now, and it kind of got frayed out, which made it fatter and a little harder to work with since it's not as precise anymore (though I still use it for some things).

Anyway... so in my personal experience, this brush did lose it's original shape and I did have to buy a new one, but for $1 and 4 solid years of use... I can't really complain. If you are into that smokey look and want to try something new... this brush just might be for you! (Rhyming so not intentional).

That's about it. What elf brushes have you tried? Love? Hate? Let me know down below :)

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Freeman Beauty Acai Clay Face Mask Review

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to do a little review on one of the Freeman Beauty masks (from my Freeman Beauty Haul a while back) - the Acai Facial Purifying Clay Mask.

I love this mask! This is one of those traditional looking green clay masks (that all the ladies wore back in the day... at least on tv).

And then you can walk around your house and scare your family! lol

Anyway, you just slather this on your face in a nice even layer, avoiding the eye area, and let is sit about 20 minutes until it is dry. Your face will feel like it's being pulled... but you're ok :)

Then just wash it off, and bam, awesome feeling skin. My skin feels so clean and my pores feel so tight. It's also amazing for acne. If I am having a breakout at the time when I use this, within a few hours, or at most the next day, most of my blemishes have shrunk a significant amount.

Bonus Tip: If you are having a really bad zit, just rub some of this mask on it right before bed, sleep with it on, and the next day, the size will have gone down so much.

How? The acai berries and the clay in this mask work really well to draw out the impurities in the skin.

The Bottom Line:

This mask, like all of Freeman's masks from this line, was only $3.99. I use this mask about once a week, and I love it. It doesn't irritate my skin, it helps any blemishes I have, and it shrinks my pores... what's not to love?

Have any of you tried this mask or any other mask you really love??? Let me know in the comments below!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!

DIY Pet Bed

Hi everyone!

Today I'm definitely sharing something a little bit different... well different for a "beauty" blog.

This is a pet bed (with my turtle tank on top) that my boyfriend and I made by converting an old cabinet tv.

For those of you who are really young, TV's used to come in big cabinets like this. It was in the middle empty portion, and the TV speakers are on the side (where you can see the brown fabric.

I thought this came out soooo super cute, I just had to share. We picked up this cabinet at a flea market/trade show (luckily someone had already popped out the TV part), painted it this ridiculous yellow, and added a pillow with this awesome rainbow leopard pillow case from Walmart.

Who says beauty has to be limited to makeup, clothes, nails, and hair... I think your furniture can be beautiful and beautify your home!

Would you like to see more posts like this sprinkled in the mix on here? Let me know in the comments down below!

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!!!

OOTD Black Polka Dot Dress

Hi everyone!

Today I'm just gonna have a quick Outfit of the Day (OOTD) featuring a couple of the clothing items I featured in my Walmart clothing haul post from the other day.

I coupled the black polka dot dress with the white over shirt/cardigan and accessorized with some pearls for a vintage 1950's inspired look. I was wearing hot pink pumps for an added pop of color and something a little fun, but I don't have a full length mirror, so you can't see them.

And I kept my makeup really basic - neutral shadow, black liner, and mascara - to go along with that vintage look.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!
